What Is With the PS Plus Offers
Sony Interactive Entertainment Playstation announced in a March 26 blog the free games for PlayStation Plus members for April 2025. The three games, available from April 1 to May 5, are RoboCop: Rogue City, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory, and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Sony confirmed that the games will be accessible for all three levels of PS Plus subscription.
RoboCop: Rogue City will only be available on PS5 hardware, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre on PS4 and PS5, and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory for only PS4 players. RoboCop: Rogue City is a typical shooter video game published in 2023 and listed as one of the top shooter games of the year. The game is rated 9/10 on Steam and is due to get a standalone expansion soon with the RoboCop: Rogue City Unfinished Business.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is a horror slasher game where players get to assume the roles of the members of the Slaughter family or its victims. It is a game based on a traditional horror film of the same name released in 1978. Players who select to be members of the Slaughter family hunt victims and, on the other hand, players when they are victims need to employ strategies in order to escape the Slaughter family.
The Spring Sale
Sony Interactive kicked off the PlayStation Store Spring Sale on March 26, which featured around 200 titles of games discounted. The sale will conclude on April 23 at 23:59 GMT, while an update to the catalog will occur on April 9 to replace certain of the deals.
The offers will be a maximum of 75%, with some of the standout deals being a 20% off on Baldur’s Gate 3, a 40% discount on Elden Ring, and a 30% discount on Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Cross Gen Bundle. Gamers can also get Assassin’s Creed games, Dragon Age: The Veilguard Deluxe Edition, Civilization VI Anthology Upgrade, Destiny 2, Conan Exiles, Dead by Daylight, Demon Slayer, Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy, Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil, The Sims 4, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, and Star Wars Outlaws at discounted rates.
Although some players are willing to enjoy the discounts, others feel frustrated that 8 of the PS Plus titles will be canceled starting April 1. The 8 titles are Tales of Kezera: ZAU, Deliver Us Mars, Stray Blade, Animal Well, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Slay the Spire, Miasma Chronicles, and Nour: Play with Your Food.
Sony’s Planning on discontinue PS4
Sony still plans to discontinue PlayStation 4 games from its monthly games catalog for PS Plus subscribers as per an announcement from January. The entertainment conglomerate explained that most of the gamers using PS hardware had migrated to the PS5 console. The company insisted that for that reason, Sony will focus more on offering PS5 games while moving away from PS4 offerings.
